What is Aviva Flex-pertise™?

 

It's our flexible benefits solution for larger employers, giving employees more choice and control over their protection options. It offers a comprehensive range of Group Protection products, from life insurance to critical illness cover, so you can build a package that fits your business, and your employees can select the cover that suits their individual needs.

When we talk about Wellbeing services on this page, these are non-contractual benefits that Aviva may change or withdraw at any time. They’re provided by Aviva and a handful of carefully selected third-party providers. Terms and conditions apply.

A comprehensive range of employee protection

Offering a well-rounded benefits package can help attract and retain top talent. With Aviva Flex-pertise™, you can choose cover with the flexibility to meet your employees’ needs and your budget. It gives your employees more choice and control over their benefits - while you stay in control of the options, coverage levels, and contribution that work best for your business.

Group Critical Illness

If an employee is diagnosed with a critical illness or needs surgery defined by the policy, they’ll receive a lump sum payment. Child cover is included as standard.

  • You decide the level of cover available and whether employees can increase it in steps of £10,000 or £25,000.
  • We’ll make one lump sum payment if a claim is made.

Spouse or Partner Critical Illness cover

Employees can add this through Aviva Flex-pertise™ if they already have Group Critical Illness cover. 

  • You choose whether this option is available.
  • We’ll make a lump sum payment if a claim is made.

Group Life Insurance

If an employee dies in service, Group Life provides financial and bereavement support to their loved ones.

  • You set the core cover amount and can allow employees to increase their cover if they wish.
  • We'll make a lump sum payment to the scheme trustees who then pass it on to any beneficiary(s).

Spouse or Partner Life Insurance

This works similarly to Group Life and provides a lump sum if an employee’s spouse or partner dies.

  • You choose whether this option is available and the increase steps, up to a maximum of £250,000.
  • We’ll make a lump sum payment if a claim is made.

Group Income Protection

Provides up to 80% of an employee’s salary if they can’t work due to illness or injury. They’ll also get rehabilitation support to help them back to work when they’re ready.

  • You decide the cover options and payment terms. Employees can select their cover level - 50%, 66%, 75%, or 80% of salary - within the limits you set.
  • You can also choose whether to offer flexibility on payment duration.

Wellbeing services

Our group protection products give your employees access to a range of non-contractual wellbeing and legal services, such as Aviva DigiCare+ Workplace, mental health support for employees and line managers, and cancer care support.

Critical Illness Protection you can trust

Our Group Critical Illness cover paid out an average of £72,000 to just over 680 customers.1
