Check in on your pensions

It's worth keeping an eye on your pension to make sure you're on track to hit your retirement goals. You can do this in MyAviva, either online or in the app. We can help you work out how much money you'll need by the time you retire and how to get there.

Pay more into your pension

You’re checking your pension regularly and you’ve worked out how much money you may need at retirement, what now? Even if your finances are in good shape, it’s always better to save more than you think you’ll need, so you could think about if you can afford to pay more into your pension, giving this money more time to grow.

Nominating your beneficiaries

It may still feel too early to be thinking about it, but it’s important to make sure you've nominated one or more beneficiaries, particularly if you have a mortgage or a family. Your beneficiaries are who you’ve chosen to inherit any remaining pensions when you die, for example a spouse, civil partner, or a charity.

If you don't nominate a beneficiary, we'll usually distribute your pension to your next of kin. You can do this quickly and easily in MyAviva. We're not legally bound to act on your nomination, but we will take it into account when choosing a beneficiary.
