Sharing the long drive
Big weekend wedding? Trip to the beach? If you take out our cover you can put more than one person on the policy, so wherever you’re going you can share the drive.
Driving in an emergency
If need to get somewhere quickly but your own car’s not available, our cover can help. With policies covering from as little as 1 hour, you can cover yourself on someone else’s car at short notice subject to the owner's permission.
Are you eligible?
To get temporary car cover, both you and the car must meet the following criteria.
As the driver, you must:
- Be aged between 18 and 75 years old
- Hold a full UK, EU, EEA, South African, Swiss, Australian or New Zealand driving licence for at least 3 months (or 6 months if you’re aged under 25)
- Have no motoring offences in the last 3 years
The car must:
- Be registered in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
- Have a market value of less than £75,000
- Only have modifications that were factory fitted (cosmetic or performance-related)

Cover for emergency medical expenses if you or your passengers are in an incident
- Legal liability
Cover for up to £5,000,000 if someone's injured or their property's damaged
What’s not covered
Unfortunately, we can’t cover everything – make sure you’re happy with what’s not covered, including:
Any punctures, cuts or bursts – including those caused by braking
- Electrical breakdowns
That’s problems with wiring, electrical components or on-board computers
- Unnamed drivers
We’ll only cover drivers you’ve told us about

How the claims process works
Whatever happens, we're on hand to help – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you’ve had an accident or need to make a claim, call us on 08000 156 166 1 straightaway.
You'll need your policy number to start your claim – so it's a good idea to have this to hand.
The team will take a look at your claim and work out how best to help you.
We'll review any photos or documents you’ve sent as part of your claim and ask you for details of anyone else involved.
Settling your claim
We'll work with you to sort things out as quickly as possible.
Remember, any claim you make won’t affect a no claims discount on any annual policy on the vehicle.
