What is Personal belongings cover?

Personal Belongings cover is cover for your personal items (e.g. mobile phone, laptop, jewellery, camera equipment) for accidental damage, loss or theft. You are covered in and away from the home, anywhere in the world. Any personal item worth more than £2,500 will need to be specified on your policy.

On AvivaPlus we call this cover "Contents away from the home". This cover will cover all items defined above with no single article limit. Meaning no items need to be specified on AvivaPlus. On AvivaPlus, Contents away from the home cover can be added which will cover any contents when away from the home. There is no single article limit, meaning there is no need to specify any items. Everything will be covered up to the Contents away from the home sum insured. This optional cover is included as standard on the Premium Tier and is an optional cover on the Regular Tier. It isn't available on the Basic Tier.
