Jump Through Hoops

To produce a printed copy of the Aviva Car Insurance via the Internet took endurance. Constantly repeating personal details with the conclusion by Aviva that the Help Desk needed Help! My regret for using Aviva for a simple car insurance policy is a constant reminder of how my previous insurers were so extremble good at what they did.

Brilliant customer service

I had only just changed insurers to Aviva, after 20 years of accident free motoring, when unfortunately I had to make a claim.They couldn’t have been more helpful. The first words were enquiring about my welfare , then follow up emails, all so easy to register a claim. My car will be repaired at my convenience and will be collected from any address I chose, and brought back again also. Marvellous , so glad I changed, you get what you pay for !

Accident claim

I had a bump in the car in the early evening. Luckily both parties were unhurt. My call to Aviva was reassuring, factual and I spoke to someone who was calm and knowledgeable - this helped as I was shaken by what had happened. My subsequent calls to car hire, recovery etc were all with people who also took the time to ask how I was. This is exactly the approach that is required when you are in a state of shock. My claim was dealt with swiftly and locally. I got my car back shining clean and looking amazing. Thank you for the quick, courteous and helpful manner you convey when dealing with your customers.

Difficult to tell

The system was efficient and there was a chat line available. The insurance was set up quickly and easily. However, I would like to be able to talk to someone who can give advice whether verbally or via chat line. Although I hope not to make have to make a claim - this would be the time to ask for a rating of the insurance.

Poor worse level of customer service

Whilst stationary my car was hit in the rear by another driver. I was told by the aviva call handler that I would have to pay the access because the driver dint leave the name or telephone number despite having the number plate. I logged the call with the police they said aviva were obliged to contact the MIB but due to the cost they wouldn't. Luckily the driver called there insurance and reported this accident and I was able to resolve the issue.
