In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Good Value for Money

For a young driver Aviva offered the best cost option compared with my previous Insurer and what the comparison sites had to offer. Only downside was a error by Aviva when calculating my NCD but was resolved when I could finally get through on the phone as online chat was not working

Good telephone support

A new motor insurance policy, due to moving back from France. Telephone support was good to answering questions about carrying my French no claims back to UK. No long waits on the end of the line, and the NCB team responded to queries by mail.

Excellent Product

Purchased Comprehensive Car Insurance at a price that is reasonable compared to other companies. Delighted as Aviva do not get involved in ridiculous comparison sites but offer an excellent product at an acceptable cost. The forms to fill in are unusually clear & easy to complete and the service provided is very efficient.

Car Insurance

I found buying my car insurance online very simple and fast. I like the process of Aviva checking my motoring history through the DVLA with my permission which cuts down on time.I did have to ring customer service about a small matter which was handled very quickly and efficiently.

Competitive price, easy online purchase

Bought fully comp insurance for 2 cars. It was a very good competitive price from a large insurance company. Done it online, it was straightforward, easy and clearly laid out. I think it would attract more customers if courtesy car was included as a standard.

Partly excellent and partly poor

The initial contact and the obtaining of a quote was excellent. However, after providing proof of “No Claims” the department dealing with this never read the complete letter stating the actual no claims I had. There only read the opening short paragraph and went ahead and took 4 years off my bonus! It took me 15 mins on the phone to try and sort this out - the individual dealing with the the call was curteous and dealt with it well - it was changed but I had no apology and/or acceptance of the fact that the no claims department never completely read the letter. In fact they stated, in email, that I claimed 4 years and they would give me 8 years, after the call - this is totally wrong. The outcome after the call was that it was dealt with but sholuld never had happened. Hence my partly poor.
