This is why we invite our motor insurance customers to leave a review after buying a policy and making a claim. In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Refund of premium

Cancelled insurance on previous car but also insured my new car. Nice discount on new car insurance but money docked off refund for previous car insurance- a bit stingy as we have lots of different policies with you. Refund dealt with very efficiently though

Computer error

Purchased van insurance online, paid deposit and set up direct debt forbmonthly payments! Noticed a pending amount to Aviva of 307, spoke to customers services who were all excellent and understanding! Informed computer error and had to cancel my policy and be issued with a new policy, all done and everything in order, came home to a message detailing that the amount 307 was unable to be taken and if I didn’t pay it my policy would be cancelled. It’s not the greatest of starts to dealing with your company! You have been operating for a considerable anmount of time and still failures occur!

Price comparison

Motor insurance - Visited Aviva site to compare prices after my current provider sent renewal cost. Saved ££££££'s by taking out my renewal policy with the same cover provided with Aviva.

Great price

Saved a lot of money on a multi policy motor cover with Aviva. Other insurers could not compete on price. As a returning customer had some trouble accessing policy details online because there were many policies connected to my e mail. Account was locked out twice, and unable to reset myself. Upon phoning this process refers you back online, where it’s filtered by an automatic bot, before having to message an online chat line. It would be much easier to speak to someone, and quicker I feel

Could do better

Received a quote for car insurance, it was a very good price and comparable to my current insurance. I went ahead with the quote weeks before the insurance was due to start, but I was not given access to the MyAviva portal to check all the documentation was correct and check the T’c & C’s, until 9 hours before the insurance was due to commence, which put me under pressure to validate the details I’d given were correct or amend as appropriate. Not a positive experience and one I definitely do not want to ever repeat.

Policies are automatically registered for MyAviva under regular circumstances, so in your circumstance it would have been due to a system issue that it failed to go through on its own.
