Claim review

Incomplete work after repeated reminders.

My claim was done probably last oct ? Till now there is a part left over I have left messages texts and also phoned to remind Probably I will change my insurance agents this year

Claim review

Accidents can be expensive

I forgot that I had left the bath taps running. The bath overflowed into the room below bringing down the ceiling and damaging the furnishings and computer equipment etc. The ruined ceiling contained asbestos so experts had to deal with that. The salvageable furnishings had to go into storage while the room was redecorated from top to bottom. It was a long process with many different contractors involved.Aviva enabled one contractor to administer the others. Goodness knows what it cost. The work was done to a very good standard and then Aviva compensated for the items beyond repair. We lost a piano which I did not claim for but I was very satisfied with the compensation agreed and with the work done. So thank you Aviva.

Blythe group amazing

My claim was referred to the Blythe group who were absolutely fantastic. They dealt with my claim timely, accurately and compassionately. My works programmer Emily was second to none, she dealt with my like a human being and not just another customer. The only negative I have is when Belfor were contracted to clean my carpets after a flood and their customer service along with any form of time keeping was beyond shocking! Apart from this one let down, I can honestly say having gone through a disaster with my home flooding, I can thank the Blythe group for heloigt me get back to normality! Thank you :)

Pleasant telephone contacts.

Talking to staff on the telephone they were very helpful, However when you have been a victim of a burglary you tend to accept things so you can back to some normality. It is only after the event that you notice other matters that you should have claimed for. In our instance the stair & landing carpet damaged.

water damage claim

After having suffered water damage to the bathroom,living room,stairs,landing and kitchen from a leaking pipe the repair work was carried out by sub contractors working of behalf of Aviva. Initially the work standard was good but towards the end they only wanted to finished before schedule to move on to other jobs. This resulted in a very poor standard finish to the kitchen along with several other jobs not completed. They were recalled to correct but still the work done is sub standard.

A satisfied customer

The telephone contact I had with people at Aviva was courteous and practically helpful - it was very good customer service. Arrangements were made quickly and satisfactorily for the damage to be prepared and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Claim review

A good fix

I had a "discolouration" on the kitchen ceiling, so asked a decorator to repaint the ceiling. He advised me "its damp". Checking the house it was obvious the problem was in the bathroom underfloor plumbing. As the bathroom was fully tiled including the floor I thought "oh no". Contacted Aviva and out came a surveyor, he quickly suggested a partial removal of the ceiling as a way to see the problem. A team arrived, did just that , fixed the leak, reskimmed the ceiling and all is very much aOK. A great job, done quickly and well.
