Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

A very difficult, frustrating and awful experience!!

We had a water leak from the stop cock under our kitchen sink over 2/3 months & we were unaware until the door under the sink did not shut properly. The water had caused a lot of damage. Aviva were very quick to send a plumber to fix the leak and appointment external loss adjusters who within a week had sent an independent surveyor to visit and give a cost for replacement of all the damaged items in the kitchen. This is then where all our problems began! The surveyor put in a ridiculously low price to replace items & no evidence of how he came to the figure. We ended up having to obtain 2 individual quotes for everything! The cost to put things right came to more than double the first amount offered. The Company would not budge on their offer & after a frustrating & long process we had to contact their Customer Relations who quickly settled the claim fairly in 48 hours, which is all we asked for in the first place! An unnecessary awful experience for a genuine claim - not impressed :(

I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty you had with getting the claim settled to your expectation. I'm happy to hear our dedicated team was able to give the correct value and pay out for it, but I sincerely apologise for the hardship it put you through and the length of time after the severe damage caused to your home.

Could do better

Have been with Aviva for a number of years , my home & contents was due for renewal & had gone up by 20% . I had to leave and rejoin as a new customer to get the best deal ! Not what is advertised on the tv

Easy to do

Having multiple insurances with Aviva I thought may as well get a buildings and contents quote and I’m glad I did, so easy to complete and a really competitive price.

A little bit lengthy doing it by telephone but well worth it in the end to get such a great deal on my car insurance

First we bought house contents Insurance which automatically gave us a great reduction in my car insurance less than my old car insurance which is a very well known Brand very happy with Aviva

Double glazing accident

A double glazing panel in my conservatory ceiling burst. It was examined by a glazier from Aviva who quoted the same sum as the glazier I had chosen and this sum was received by me from Aviva promptly. I was impressed with the efficiency with which the problem was dealt with.
