In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Home Insurance Renewal

Took out policy under friends and family offer. Everything was sorted ok over phone easily. Was a bit disappointed to not get my policy confirmation until a few days later with an accompanying apology.

Quick and easy

I recently purchased buildings and contents insurance. The whole process was quick and easy. Your call handler was very helpful, polite and friendly.

Willing to listen

I had a previous claim logged for which I did not process as the stolen goods were recovered. This was soon rectified and my premium adjusted.

As it says on the tin

I got my annual renewal and thought I would try Aviva Plus. Exactly as they said on TV it is also for existing customers. Sure enough I got a really good quote and took it. I recommend everyone tries this.

Excellent service

I have two policies with Aviva. Home insurance and medical insurance. ADdsA few years ago I found I had a problem with the lining in my chimney and was overjoyed to discover the Aviva paid for all but the excess without a question. Such a relief. Recently I broke my left shoulder and once again I have been incredibly impressed with the service that they offer. As a result when my broker tried to move me to another provider I left my broker and stayed with Aviva. Thank you for looking after me so well.

A good product at a decent price; good service

House and contents insurance: when I got the letter telling me that Aviva was withdrawing my insurance policies after many years, and that I should ring up about a replacement, I expected the worst. How pleasant to learn that I could have (effectively) the same policies for about half of the premium I had been expecting to pay. It felt like that rare thing, customer loyalty rewarded instead of exploited. The young lady I spoke to at Aviva was cheerful, helpful and friendly, and I came away from the transaction feeling really well-looked-after.

Looks good, but yet to be proven

The policy I took out with Aviva seems to offer cover marginally better than I got from my previous insurer (a big bank) for a significantly lower premium, so it looks good from the outset. However, I believe that you never really know how good insurance is until you come to make a claim, hence 4 stars rather than 5. In 45 years of home ownership, I have never made a claim, so even if I am unfortunate enough to do so, I will have no prior experience to compare with.

Cross Person

I found the person who arranged my home insurance to be a polite and attentive person on 21 June 2019. However, I am cross that to date -- 10 July 2019 - despite a reminder telephone call to Aviva, I have still not received my policy brochure or insurance documents. I would be able to view my documents on line but I specifically requested paper copies.
