We recognise that consumers are increasingly seeking feedback and reassurance from other customers when purchasing products and services online. This is why we invite our home insurance customers to leave a review after buying a policy and making a claim. In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Two things I don't like

Don't like: 1. Auto-renewal of policies without my permission, with no obvious option to cancel. 2. Abuse of the English language. "Here's a summary of what you've bought today. You can view and print your documents or make a claim anytime in MyAviva." "Anytime" is not an English word;(*) it should be written as two separate words. "Anytime" is as meaningless as "anycar" or "anyhouse." (*) Americans seem happy to use it. It would make sense as an adjective, but not here.

I'm sorry to learn that you don't agree with automatic renewals. These are applied to policies that are paid via direct debit or continuous card payment authority. Our customers can let us know they don't wish to renew by calling, using live chat or social media (such as Twitter and Facebook). We send renewal details 28 days before the renewal date to give our customers some time to have a think and shop around if they wish to. I've passed on your feedback to the communications team and made them aware of the issue regarding the misuse of the word "anytime". I hope my explanation has eased your concerns. quick easy online cover

Breakdown car cover. Cheaper price and same cover as going direct to service provider used by Aviva. Price was down to a discount as have other products from Aviva.

REPLACEMENT

Dropped and smashed my Mobile phone contacted Aviva and new identical replacement Mobile phone was delivered at 09.15hrs the following day. Absolute fantastic service.

Garden Burglary claim

Following the forced break in to our shed and garage, with valuable garden machinery taken, it was necessary to source replacement; petrol self drive mower, professional strimmer, petrol hedge cutter, petrol blower / vac. The damage to the garage door was very quickly attended to and resecured, as was the shed.

Quality job

We made a claim because our kitchen ceiling collapsed due to a water leak. We had the option to get quotes and hire builders ourselves but found there was a complete lack of interest from tradesmen. We opted to let Aviva handle everything and we are so glad we did. There was someone round to assess the damage very quickly and work began right away. The ceiling has been repaired after a thorough inspection to ensure it was all made safe. The kitchen was redecorate and the flooring replaced. The end result is amazing. The building company were great,always in touch so we knew the progress of the work (we had moved out of the property just before the leak happened). We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of the work and the timescale for completion.

Illogical sequence.

I'd decided to renew my existing policy with you, and filled in your satisfaction questionairre. It was only then that you pointed out that you had an alternative product. Woudn't it have been better to point that out before asking me to renew thre old one?
