Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Very helpful service

I bought home insurance for home and contents. I decided to get a quote from Aviva as I am a shareholder and can get a discount. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable and everything was easy to set up. I felt that everyone I spoke to was well trained. They were able to answer all my questions easily and take me through the process of setting up the insurance and payment on line through my existing MyAviva account. It was lucky that I was covered as my home has been affected by the recent floods and I have had to make a claim. Again, everyone I have spoken to has been very helpful.

Impressive Aviva.

As a pensioner ( of some longevity) I ventured onto the Aviva website in order to seek a quotation for buildings and contents cover. My past experience of using such sites had left me frustrated for the most part. Not so Aviva. The site was user-friendly. The response time was speedy. The quotation was competitive and the follow-up professional. I won't say that suddenly I am converted to all websites, but first class from Aviva.

Good but could be better

Insured with Aviva for a long time with no issues, good price etc. Moved to new build and was expected to contact 3rd party for ‘Northings & Eastings’ - they didn’t respond so had to do a lot of chasing about. In the meantime new property uninsured but premium still taken on old property. Nothing wrong with customer service just Aviva’s infrastructure needs updating. Customers shouldn’t be expected to chase round for additional information. Stressful time already moving House.

Agent altered internet details resulting in Aviva leaving me high and dry.

I bought Buildings and Contents insurance. Started quote on internet before being asked to call to complete. Agent took all details and provided quote. I asked for a copy of the quote in writing but was just sent generic policy booklet details. I decided to accept quote a few weeks later and noted when paper documents came through a key item had been changed from that which had been filled in online. I called to point this out and the new agent said they couldn't now insure me given the change mentioned. Having asked at outset for a copy of the quote and details to be sent,why wouldn't they? How else could I check what the agent actually recorded? I am now left with my original policy expired and having to go around doing all the leg work to find a new insurer. Never a good place to be in as some insurers rank the premium quote higher when you are down to the last few days of needing a renewal. Indeed the new agent said there were several items where my quote should have been referred!

Above all it was a pleasant experience above previous experiences on insurance purchases.

Most should I say pleasant phone experience on purchasing an insurance policy no hassle all questions and queries me with satisfactory replies to my requirements leaving no stone unturned.

Issues logging on

House insurance annual renewal, I found that had saved about £200 over my previous provider.
