This is why we invite our home insurance customers to leave a review after buying a policy and making a claim. In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Good informative phone call

I received my House insurance renewal and noted that the policy had increased yet again. I asked customer serviceduringaphonecall if this was the cheapest price for the policy. Apparently it was, but there was a newer product on offer. After we went through the various options provided by the policy I agreed to change to the new policy. There was a significant reduction in the policy price for very little difference if any overall. I was pleased to have been offered this alternative policy, but it would have been better if the new policy had been included with the renewal documents. Consequently 4 Stars for support on the day, but only 3 stars for Aviva looking after its customers.

Hi Donald, I appreciate your feedback which has been recorded to help us make improvements to products & service in the future. The AvivaPlus product is a new policy which we can now offer customers but unfortunately as it involves a different set of criteria questions, different cover tiers & payment plans, we cannot provide assumptive quotes in renewal documentation sent out to existing customers to switch from a classic to an AvivaPlus policy. Instead we're happy to review & re-quote should customers choose when they contact us regarding their renewal, in addition to the option for a new quote being made available online. Good value home and contents insurance providers

Continually increasing premiums with my previous insurance company forced me to enquire with Aviva. I couldn’t believe how much I could save by switching to Aviva

good

Original contact with Aviva was very good.However we became confused when three different companies contacted us to visit to assess damage,etc.However, the company offering drying services as the damage was caused by a leaking pipe was very good and most helpful. Eventually,when the local agent appointed by Aviva visited things happened very rapidly !

Great service, confusing products!

I phoned and was given a quote for house insurance. There was a choice of 3 levels. I phoned back to accept but was told I should have been offered Aviva plus instead of Classic. I was then offered 3 levels of Aviva plus. The whole process took about 2 hours including waiting time. Very helpful people and good service once you speak to the right person but quite a confusing product choice.

Sorry to learn that our new product had you confused. If you were originally offered 1 of 3 levels of cover, this would have been AvivaPlus to start with, so I'm unsure what happened there.
