In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Very reputable company

Very user friendly online system Very competitive & a company that I trust if the worst happens. Have got both my home & car insured with Aviva as I felt what they offered at the price I payed was a fair deal.

Easy to sort out

I took out house insurance with Aviva because their cover and price are very competitive and I didn’t have to answer a load of silly questions.

Appears to be good value and love paying monthly without being ripped off

Overall good service, was happy with the cover and reasonable price. The renewal guarantee was the clincher, I'm sick of getting ridiculous renewal quotes. You get nothing for loyalty it seems. My only gripe was that the app doesn't work immediately. However I can expect a short term IT issue. Keep it up.

Efficient, quick & easy

We recently had to claim for accidental damage to a stair carpet, which to be honest I wasn't looking forward to! I needn't have worried. From the first phone call where relevant details were taken it was then a short wait to hear from the company dealing with my carpet claim. There was a slight delay from our side but when that was sorted and the visit from the claim man, who came to inspect the damage so that he could assess the situation and see for himself was done there was a short wait for the work to be done. The assessor bought along many samples for us to choose from and whilst he measured up we did the choosing. The carpet fitters were excellent and within a month the job was done. It may well have been sooner but the delay was on our part. Thank you Aviva.

Simplified application is great, but...

I bought an AvivaPlus annual house and contents policy. The application process is much simplified compared to the process you have to go through with other insurance companies, which is great. I hope the claims procedure (hopefully I won't need it) is just as straightforward. On the minus side I am still unable to complete the registration process and view my documents online over two weeks after buying the policy. Which is a little bit worrying and quite frankly baffling.

great customer service...let down by poor technicians

My claim for water damage was dealt with efficiently but the contractors employed by Aviva were poor and did a bad job, apart from the ceiling guy, but he also left me with a lot of cleaning to do. Am currently going round re-doing the bad decorating. Aviva themselves were good, they just need to use better contractors.
