After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Does what I need

Home buildings and contents insurance, easy to complete the online purchase and fulfilled all my needs AND was 100 pounds cheaper than my renewal quote. What’s more, Aviva contributed 30 pounds through Easy Fundraising to my chosen charity!

Very poor after sale care

My policy renewed post claim and had increased 150%. I claimed after a fire, (£1200) managed to extinguish ourselves, caused by a hotpoint washing machine. Hotpoint replaced the machine, engineer admitted it was their fault, aviva told this!!!! I asked aviva, at the time, to refund my excess, they said they would chase up hotpoint yo claim it back. 6 months later nothing, no contact from the claims team and a huge increase on my premium. GUTTED!!!!!

Very good prompt service with info provided clearly at each stage after the inital shock that I was not fully ninsured for a high value item.

Engagement ring lost a side diamond from the display.

Well... it's not bad, but...

I have now got both car and home insurance on the monthly payment. It's convenient to do this, and I am fairly happy about the fact that I will have to renew them both in sync in future. The main complaint I have is that they make you use a credit card. What's wrong with Direct Debits? To my mind they're more secure and you don't have to change them when the card expires or the card provider sends a new one (which they seem to do a lot these days). Bring back the DD, I say.

Thanks for choosing to insure your car & home with Aviva. Our new AvivaPlus policies take payment on a monthly basis but from a debit or credit card like lots of subscription services do rather than paying via a direct debit basis. This avoids making any application for credit or being charged for credit. We are still able to offer our classic policies on a monthly direct debit basis though should customers wish.
