What happens next?

To help us review your claim more quickly, you can send supporting documents as attachments to protectioncontact@aviva.com, with the subject line ‘RE: Online children's critical illness claim’. Remember to include the policy number and the policyholder's name in your email.

Supporting documents confirm the diagnosis and help us assess your claim. They might be: 

  • discharge letters from a consultant or hospital 
  • letters from a specialist or clinic 
  • letters from a specialist to a GP

We don’t need things like doctor’s fit notes, prescriptions, or appointment letters that don’t include details about the diagnosis. 

We’ll be in touch soon to explain what happens next and answer any questions you might have. If there’s anything you’d like to ask before then, just call us.
