Frequently Asked Questions
Ask us a question
You asked: What happens to the plan if you decline the life insurance claim?
It depends on the type of life insurance claim and why we've declined it.
If the condition isn’t covered by the plan, then the plan continues unaffected. Future claims are possible, as long as the premiums are paid on time.
If the plan wasn’t in force at the time of the claim (the premiums weren't up to date, for example) then it is likely that the plan will no longer provide cover.
If we decline it because we weren't given full, truthful and accurate information when the plan was taken out, we might cancel the plan or amend its terms. If we decline a death claim on a single-life plan, we cancel the plan.
