Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. Easy to sort out

I took out house insurance with Aviva because their cover and price are very competitive and I didn’t have to answer a load of silly questions.

Appears to be good value and love paying monthly without being ripped off

Overall good service, was happy with the cover and reasonable price. The renewal guarantee was the clincher, I'm sick of getting ridiculous renewal quotes. You get nothing for loyalty it seems. My only gripe was that the app doesn't work immediately. However I can expect a short term IT issue. Keep it up.

Buyer review

Simplified application is great, but...

I bought an AvivaPlus annual house and contents policy. The application process is much simplified compared to the process you have to go through with other insurance companies, which is great. I hope the claims procedure (hopefully I won't need it) is just as straightforward. On the minus side I am still unable to complete the registration process and view my documents online over two weeks after buying the policy. Which is a little bit worrying and quite frankly baffling.

Hi, We'd not been previously made aware until now that you'd experienced some issues with accessing your policy & documents through a MyAviva account online. I've now been able to make a small update in the format of your address to match up your policies & have sent you an email with a link to set a new password. Very helpful

I purchased a home and contents policy . I had a few questions and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The cost was a lot cheaper than my previous policy which was almost identical cover.

straight forward!

As a lawyer and a 35 year insurance professional I found the process rewardingly straight forward. Having had to cancell a newly incepted policy with another company for failing to accept a legitimate claim, which has now been confirmed as being valid by the Ombudsman service. I notice my address has been recorded correctlybyAviva, unlike another company, who gave me a quote, then said the addressontheirsystem was two doors down and increased the price by over 0ne hundred pounds noting I had a three month quote and it is still on my computer. So I would say Aviva wins hands down for me!

Good informative phone call

I received my House insurance renewal and noted that the policy had increased yet again. I asked customer serviceduringaphonecall if this was the cheapest price for the policy. Apparently it was, but there was a newer product on offer. After we went through the various options provided by the policy I agreed to change to the new policy. There was a significant reduction in the policy price for very little difference if any overall. I was pleased to have been offered this alternative policy, but it would have been better if the new policy had been included with the renewal documents. Consequently 4 Stars for support on the day, but only 3 stars for Aviva looking after its customers.

Hi Donald, I appreciate your feedback which has been recorded to help us make improvements to products & service in the future. The AvivaPlus product is a new policy which we can now offer customers but unfortunately as it involves a different set of criteria questions, different cover tiers & payment plans, we cannot provide assumptive quotes in renewal documentation sent out to existing customers to switch from a classic to an AvivaPlus policy. Instead we're happy to review & re-quote should customers choose when they contact us regarding their renewal, in addition to the option for a new quote being made available online.
