Excellent price and the process online was simple to follow.

I bought house and contents insurance. I got more cover for the contents and also received travel insurance as a bonus all for a much better price than the best and final offer from my previous insurer.

Great Home Insurance

Avivaplus appears to be a new concept for Home Insurance and it is straight forward and easy to use. There are three choices of cover and I chose the Premium cover as it covered everything adequately.

Competitive Defaqto rated policy

I bought the Aviva Plus home insurance Premier version online. Completing the form on the website was straightforward and easy to understand. The quoted price was good in comparison to other leading names in the marketplace and significantly less than my renewal quote from my existing insurance provider who had recently gone over to Aviva. I used the online chat on the website to confirm a couple of questions I had. This worked very well and enabled some quick responses to be given. After signing up I received the login details for MyAviva and had a minor issue with login which was quickly resolved via a toll free call to the Aviva help line. So far it all looks like a good service from a trusted name.

A shame

After the initial online quote spoke to Customer Services for support, he was brilliant very knowledgeable made everything easy to understand. Finally decided to go for the premium level. He confirmed email would be sent next few hours. Following day still had not received confirmation called Customer services on the number he had given lady answered the call told her the problem, once again she was very good, I received the email by return. Very pleased. Four days later the printed version came and there was a problem, number of bedrooms was incorrect, called the Customer Services again. Put through to another lady, once again very helpful unfortunately advised me that Aviva would not cover me and had to get a re-quote. that was a mission and I gave up, renewed it with the previous company. There was not much in the premiums, but it wasn't to be. A shame because the Customer Service was excellent in all cases they appeared to be in their 40's/50's but very good.
