#LiveLifeProtectIt - Aviva supports campaign 100%
‘We couldn’t be more pleased about the Money Advice Service and Association of British Insurers’ #LiveLifeProtectIt campaign – it’s simply good thinking, taking care of what matters to you most.’ Louise Colley, Protection Director, Aviva UK Life
It’s common sense. We’re all taught to ‘take good care of that’ from a very young age. However, as we get older and our lives get more complicated, we sometimes find it hard to prioritise things like insurance, and forget how important protection really can be to our families.
New information from The Money Advice Service
The Money Advice Service is a very useful, independent source of information that was set up by the government. It offers unbiased information about all kinds of money products and services, and exists to help people get to grips with all things financial in their everyday lives.
Working with the ABI (the Association of British Insurers, which helps to make sure companies like Aviva keep their customers’ best interests at heart), the Money Advice Service’s #LiveLifeProtectIt campaign includes hosting fresh, new pages on its website – and at Aviva, we think these resources are excellent.

The right information about the right protection
If you want details about protection insurance – things like income protection, life insurance, critical illness cover or even private health insurance – insurers’ websites are full of detailed descriptions.
We’re always happy to help, and we think it’s important to give customers all the information they need to make an informed choice. The #LiveLifeProtectIt campaign will highlight the importance of protection in a clear way, as do we, and we hope it will raise even more awareness about the need for insurance among people who may not otherwise think about protecting their families’ futures.
• When the Money Advice Service surveyed 2,000 people, it found that just under a third (32%) of UK adults had suffered some kind of serious shock to their finances over the past five years – and two thirds of the audience did not have appropriate insurance in place to help cushion that blow.
Louise said: ‘People are busy, so bite-sized pieces of information about things that make a difference to their lives are really useful. With the #LiveLifeProtectIt campaign, we’re confident that even more people will become aware of just how important it is to make that decision, look into protection a bit more, and safeguard their families’ futures with the right insurance products.’
