You asked: What should I do if I don’t know which hospital list I am covered on?
You can find this information in your policy schedule, or your member guide or membership card if you're on a company policy, or you can contact us.
If you do not know which hospital list you have, to avoid being referred to a specialist or facility that is not included on your list, please ask your GP for a referral letter that gives the specialism and sub-specialism needed, but doesn't name a particular specialist, facility or hospital. If you're unsure what this means, please see the separate FAQ, 'What is meant by specialism and sub-specialism?'. Once you have this information we'll then talk you through the options over the phone.
