Simple & Easy

Having home insurance with Aviva, I decided I would search for car insurance. There were many competitive quotes, but none that offered the benefits or the assurance of a branded name. Offered a further discount by being a customer, tipped the balance.

Looking for a better deal

Old insurance company completely threw me under the bus last year regarding an incident that was not my fault. New quote from them was far more expensive than the year before. Searched online, checked Aviva's website, and found I could get the same cover for less than my old insurer had quoted the year before! And I can pay it up monthly at no extra cost. Job jobbed!

Excellent service

Took out this policy which was brilliant value better than all comparison sites unfortunately a week later had taxi pull out on me with in a week I had courtesy car then week later paid out for my car I have since taken out another policy for new vehicle I have recommended Aviva to all my friends and family fantastic company with great customer service

really difficult

I bought car insurance for my affinity car scheme from work, I have to have myself as the owner and the company as the registered keeper, it took me 4 phone calls to finally get this right and get the documents I needed, every time I rang I had to listen to a recording about Brexit that lasted 2 minutes and 34 seconds every time, the staff I spoke to couldn't seem to grasp what I needed, even though you had been recommended for this kind of insurance policy, how hard can it be when I explain what I need but your staff don't understand, I'm sure you have done this kind of policy before? I had to wait longer to get my car from work as they needed the correct policy documents, which meant I had paid the deposit but couldn't drive the vehicle for 2 weeks because of your incompetence.

I'm very sorry to read your review & to learn you feel this way. Looking at the notes on your policy, I can see there was some confusion around stating a specific company as a registered keeper, as this is not one of the options on our product. However, you can note down registered keeper as Private Lease. I can also see that my colleagues did try calling you back a couple of times to resolve this for you, but unfortunately we weren't able to get hold of you. I've recorded your concerns on our system for future improvements & I hope we can change your perception of us over the term of your policy.
