You asked: How do I place my Life Insurance plan under trust?
There can be a number of advantages to putting your policy in trust:
- Once we've accepted a claim, we can pay money out more quickly as we don't need to wait for people to be appointed to deal with your estate
- You can name who you would like to benefit under your policy in the event of a claim
- Payments shouldn't be counted as part of your estate and so wont be liable for inheritance tax.
Setting up a suitable trust is easy to do. Find out more about Aviva trusts.
